The Performance Network is already assisting commissioning organisations across 5 health economies with their QIPP efforts.

The system combines national data sets (such as SUS, ICD 10, Tariff, British Association of Day Surgery, PPA, QOF) with locally fed data such as GP Contract Values, Off Tariff Values, General Ledger data) – which is automatically uploaded monthly - to give a best in class view across Clinical, Operational and Financial parameters using real time data.

Commissioning organisations are using the system to impress the right changes in line with their QIPP efforts by drawing up various workstreams to manage improvement targets and cost savings. The focus is on areas such as Reducing Length of Stay, Reducing Procedures with Limited Clinical Effectiveness.

Whether the priorities are Reducing Length of stay or addressing urgent care – with the support of the education programme - by plugging in to the Performance Network – Commissioners are redesigning pathways in line with their local and national QIPP agenda.
